Manner Hotel - Fireplace

Hannes Peer designed the lounge of the second-floor bar, The Apartment, to be a haven of luxurious comfort, seamlessly blending sophistication with a warm and inviting ambiance. At the heart of the room is a stunning fireplace, flanked by matching benches and planters  that provide both style and function for guests. To align perfectly with the intended design, we opted to cast the benches and fireplace on-site and in place, ensuring a flawless integration with the space.

Casting in place provided several significant advantages for this project. It enabled us to create large, monolithic pieces while ensuring a precise fit within the lounge's unique dimensions, thereby eliminating the need for any adjustments or modifications during installation. This approach also minimized the risk of damage during transport and ensured that the texture and finish of the custom wood board-forms were preserved in their intended state. Additionally, casting in place allowed us to make real-time adjustments to ensure every detail matched the vision. The result is a cohesive, seamless design that enhances the lounge’s refined yet cozy atmosphere.
